Description
A game from the Wallet range. The game consists of 12 character cards, 5 map cards, a quick reference card and rules, making it technically a "microgame". It will be presented in a small vinyl wallet, perfect for carrying around. It is a pocket-sized, portable and protective format... which has proven itself with the growing range of ''Wallet'' games. Avignon: A Clash of Popes is a fast-paced card game of influence manipulation in which the two players are rival candidates for Pope in the 14th century. Players gain influence by petitioning members of the medieval Church, such as cardinals, nobles and knights, and by using the characters' unique powers to attract character cards to their side of the table (their congregation), or to force an opponent to push cards towards them. The first player to bring three characters into their congregation wins. Avignon: A Clash of Popes takes 15-20 minutes to play and is suggested for ages 8 and up.
