Born in Quebec in the 1940s, Lisette Lapointe She came of age during the Quiet Revolution. Driven by a passion for justice and freedom, she became involved in politics in the 1970s. There, she crossed paths with Jacques Parizeau twice. In 1992, it was love at first sight. Elected premier, he appointed her as an advisor in his cabinet. Together, they experienced the exhilarating journey of the 1995 referendum on Quebec's future.
A tireless sovereigntist activist, she became the Member of the National Assembly for Crémazie in 2007 and, until 2011, proudly represented the Parti Québécois. After leaving parliamentary life, she took on a new challenge: that of mayor of Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard, where she waged an epic battle against Hydro-Québec to save her village.
Adding to this impressive career are twenty years dedicated to improving the health and safety conditions of automotive workers, as well as a long legal battle to have the rights of victims of road crimes recognized.
