Description
THE BOOK The True Nature of Weeds. Discovery Guide presents 15 wild plants unfairly described as weeds. This book provides information on their life cycle and anatomy, their survival strategies, their history and geographical origin, their uses: edibility and medicinal aspects, beliefs and anecdotes about them. The Botanical Notebook (the second part sold separately), offers experiences with plants: making a herbarium, cooking them, preparing medicinal potions, etc. The True Nature of Weeds is aimed at children aged 9 to 12, at school or at home, primary school teachers, parents and grandparents. Its originality comes from the fact that it aims to introduce unloved plants, addresses the links that First Peoples had with certain plants, is enhanced with numerous photos and illustrations, and invites reflection on what leads us to classify plants, and even humans, into good and bad.
