Description
I've hated you since the day I first heard your name. I've hated you since I read what you did in Scientific American. I've hated you since I was twelve. I've hated you more than you hate me, for longer and for better reasons. Jack doesn't look amused at all anymore. And for me, this is a first. The first time I'm really myself. I feel a new, unknown, strange feeling - which I love. In practice, Elsie is dating Greg. At least, that's what they make people believe. In the evening, to make ends meet, Elsie rents her services as the perfect fake girlfriend. And during the day, she slaves away in lecture halls and is buried under student papers whose grandmothers have just died again. Her lifelong dream? To be a tenured researcher! So when MIT's physics department opens a position, Elsie doesn't waste a second. The only hitch: Jack Smith, one of the recruiters (and, incidentally, a brilliant scientist as arrogant as he is sexy), is ready to do anything to place his own protégé... But nothing will stand between her and this position, not even his gravity-defying biceps. In theory, everything should go well, right?
