Description
On the cusp of forty, Suzelle's life is spiraling out of control. Still single, recently laid off from a stable job in communications, she's now working as a waitress in a fast-food joint. To make ends meet, she shares her apartment with two boisterous twenty-somethings and uses her talent for tarot readings for a few customers. But the numerous romantic predictions she offers remind her how lonely and pathetic she feels. Where has her spontaneity gone, her desire to meet men?
Her rather ordinary life takes a dramatic turn when, dared by her roommates, she draws a card from her deck and lands on... the Devil! Whether it represents desires, material or carnal, the Devil can also signify a torrid affair. Impossible! Suzelle doesn't believe it... until the day a handsome firefighter shows up at her door for a false alarm, setting the young woman's heart ablaze in the process.
Between inflammatory prophecies, pizzas left in the oven a little too long, and this newcomer who sweeps her off her feet, Suzelle will understand that sometimes, to rekindle the flame, you have to accept getting your fingers burned a little!
