A summer to dream

Description

1952.

Every summer, four long-time friends gather at a chalet in Saint-Gédéon, on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean, to take a break from their daily obligations and share confidences, hopes, and disappointments. These suspended moments become a refuge where each woman finally dares to listen to what her heart tells her.

Jacqueline, exasperated by her overbearing parents, longs for an exhilarating love that wouldn't compromise her independence. Carole, mother of two, dreams of opening a pastry shop under her own name, an escape from a disappointing marriage. Claire, trapped in a loveless union, harbors the ambition of making her mark in sewing while raising her children. Michelle, tired of a comfortable but meaningless life, wishes to return to the sales profession she practiced before her marriage.

As a wind of change gently rises, simultaneously freeing these women from their constraints, will these eternal accomplices allow themselves to be carried away by the exhilaration of these summers where all dreams are permitted?
