JUSTINE. Every weekend, I get drunk to escape my daily routine. It makes me funnier, more confident. I sometimes regret certain behaviors that embarrass me, but despite my worries, I tell myself I'm in control. I only drink to have fun, there's nothing wrong with that… RAPHAEL. My father's alcoholism is ruining my life. Because of his excesses, every moment that's supposed to be joyful turns into a nightmare. Seeing him lose control has instilled in me an ironclad resolution: never touch alcohol. Yet, when the beautiful Justine invites me to have a drink at a party, I feel my resolve waver. Just one drink, what difference could it make? The first experience of drunkenness usually occurs between the ages of thirteen and fifteen. Since alcohol consumption is normalized and socially encouraged even in adolescence, it can quickly become a habit. However, the risks of developing an alcohol use disorder are indeed present .
